Our Team

Joshua Salinas

Acting Specialist

Joshua Salinas holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi and has dedicated more than 22 years to education and the performing arts.

He currently serves as the Head Band Director at Roy Miller High School. Prior to this, Joshua was a Band Director and Music Teacher at Metropolitan Elementary School, where he also co-directed several early musical productions, including The Jungle Book, The Lion King Jr., and Alice in Wonderland Jr.

Joshua has been the Director of Young People’s Theatre Camp since 2016, where he has had the opportunity to work with young performers and help them discover their confidence, creativity, and love for the performing arts.

His directing experience with Harbor Playhouse includes productions such as Matilda, Moana Jr., Raise Your Voice, Junie B. Jones Jr., The Wizard of Oz, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Godspell Jr., and Pure Imagination. He has also served as Acting Director for Harbor Playhouse Summer Intensive productions of Bye Bye Birdie Youth Edition and Cats Youth Edition.

In addition to directing, Joshua teaches acting and music through Mr. Salinas Acting and Music Classes, where he enjoys helping young performers develop their skills, build confidence, and find their own unique voice.

For Joshua, working with young people is about more than putting on a show it is about creating a positive environment where students can grow, express themselves, discover their talents, and experience the joy of performing.

Bethany Goldson

Music and Vocal Specialist

Bethany Goldson is fueled by creating the opportunities in her home town of Corpus Christi that she wished she had growing up. She holds a B.A. in Music - Voice from the University of St. Thomas in Houston and a M.M. in Voice from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Formerly a mezzo-soprano, She performed with both the musical theater ensemble and Opera Theater at the conservatory, the roles including Sarah in Quilters (Musical), The Mother in Stravinsky's Mavra, and Bianca in Britten's Rape of Lucretia. She also performed the role of Vera Boronel in The Consul by Menotti with Berkeley Chamber Opera. She was selected as a full scholarship recipient for Seattle Opera's inaugural opera academy in 2017 where She performed the role of Ma Moss in The Tender Land by Copland. She wrote and edited for Modern Singer Magazine and was the author of the "Truth Talk" series, as well as being a founder of the Houston Opera On Tap chapter. Highly versed in sacred music, she has sung professionally for many religions and denominations.

Many of her current students have won prestigious awards from the Hammerstein Youth Solo Contest, Classical Singer Competition & Convention, NATS, Music International Grand Prix, Hal Leonard Vocal Competition, and more. Students have also received scholarships and been accepted top theater & music college programs such as Dobbins Conservatory, UT Rio Grand Valley and Berklee College of Music. You can also find her students in prestigious summer programs such as Interlochen, Kids of the Arts, iTheaterics, San Antonio Broadway Theater, Houston Grand Opera, and Oklahoma City Musical Theater. You can see many of her students taking on their dream roles around the Coastal Bend area!

She has directed and music directed many musicals at the Harbor Playhouse and is thrilled to be building the Corpus Christi Children's Theater of Harbor Playhouse along with such a wonderful team.

Jessica Hill

Choreography Specialist

Jessica Hill is a dance teacher and choreographer who enjoys sharing her passion for performing arts with students of all ages. She spent most of her childhood performing with a competitive dance team in her hometown as well as several summers training at the Kansas City Ballet Summer Intensive and participating in Broadway at Baker summer training programs. She studied Dance Management at Oklahoma City University for three years in college, where she also studied with professors such as Jo Rowan, Mary Price-Boday, Brian Marcum, Tiffany Warford, Patricia Oplotnik, and Diana Brooks. She completed her Bachelor's of Science in Business Marketing at Baker University, where she was also a member of their HAAC Conference Champion Dance Team for two years. After taking a few years off from performing, she performed with the Corpus Christi Ballet for 3 seasons in various roles (her favorite being "Drucilla" in Cinderella) and then found her way to Harbor Playhouse. Since then, she has enjoyed returning to musical theatre in a variety of roles, including "Dancing Laurey" (Oklahoma! 2024), "Sherrie Christian" (Rock of Ages, 2024), "Brooke Wyndham" (Legally Blonde, 2025), and "Maggie Winslow" (A Chorus Line, 2026).

Jessica is also a dance teacher and choreographer in the Coastal Bend, and she loves getting to share her passion for dance with her students. She has choreographed award-winning pieces for many different competitive dance teams and dance companies to perform at competitions and dance festivals around the country. More recently, she has taken on the exciting challenge of choreographing full musical theatre productions for Harbor Playhouse, including Oklahoma!, Fiddler on the Roof, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, and Cats: Young Actors Edition. She approaches each show with education in mind and works to teach technique within her choreography to help her cast members grow as performers, too. She is thrilled to be part of the team behind the Corpus Christi Children's Theatre of Harbor Playhouse!
