Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to pay a deposit?

Yes. Deposits are due 3 months prior to the event (1/2 of the estimated event). The Deposit is non-refundable if lessee cancels event 60 days or less prior to the event. The deposit will be applied to Client’s final settlement.

 

May I extend my usage hours beyond the hours in the contractual agreement?

Yes.  Renter may extend an event up to one hour with the approval of Harbor Playhouse staff on duty at your event. Renter will be billed for additional usage time at the rate in effect on date(s) of event.

 

May I put up interior signage or wall decorations at my event?

Harbor Playhouse management must approve all hanging signage and hanging decorations prior to placement. Renters may not use adhesive tape on any painted surface. Art and/or furniture in any location may not be removed, relocated or covered and must remain in place and unobstructed.

 

May I have candles at my event?

No open flame or candles are permitted.

 

May I reserve parking at the Harbor Playhouse

No. Parking is always on a first come, first serve basis. Harbor Playhouse will post Renter’s event on the website calendar which notifies the American Bank Center management of the rental. American Bank Center management and Harbor Playhouse management work together to coordinate the shared parking lot in front of Harbor Playhouse.

 

May I store decorations and event items at Harbor Playhouse?

No. Decorations and event items should be delivered to the Harbor Playhouse during the contracted usage time and must be collected by the Renter or appointed vendor by the end of the usage time. Items left behind are subject to removal from Harbor Playhouse, and Harbor Playhouse is not responsible for loss or damage to items. Any items arriving earlier than agreed upon time or left after event are subject to a storage fee.

 

May I use Harbor Playhouse Box Office for ticketing services?

Yes. For theatrical events, concerts and recitals we recommend a Box Office/ticket process that ensures you will not violate capacity of the building spaces. If Renter is not going to use the Harbor Playhouse Box Office, please be aware of these limitations.
